We are organizing a startup pitching contest on the occasion of the worlds most startup friendly president's visit to Japan.
President of Republic of Estonia, Mr. Toomas Hendrik Ilves is visiting Japan on March 5-8, 2014. During his presidency Toomas Hendrik Ilves has been appointed to serve in several high positions in the field of ICT in the European Union and has been promoting Estonia’s IT-development since the country restored its independence. His interest in computers stems from an early age – he learned to program at the age of 13. During recent years, president Ilves has spoken and written extensively at international forums on European integration, transatlantic relations, e-government and cyber security.
During his visit to Japan, we are organizing a pitching contest for Japanese startups - and sending the winning startup to Estonia to participate at a pitching contest there, during Latitude59 event at the end of April.
